The experience of my diet session is such that I would hardly voluntarily resort to this means of self-torture. If not for a "but": I have personally seen the results of two weeks of the "Japanese" diet. As in the magazine: "before" and "after". Still, the principle of beauty and health may work best.

It's hard to say why the diet is called Japanese - half of the foods recommended for eating are exotic for the Japanese. According to legend, the diet was developed by specialists from the Japanese clinic "Yaeks", but no other traces of this office were found on the English-speaking Internet.

Lyrically sentimental digression

I must say that I admire the courage of people who are able to feel the slimming recipe found on the net and immediately try it on themselves. I am wary of diets myself. Life has brought me closer to them twice.

For the first time - in severe form, while in the mountains I caught some kind of infection in the stomach, and for three weeks at 3000 meters above sea level, I simply could not eat: everything aimmediately asked to come back. The second time around, I decided to limit my diet to 1000 calories per day. For almost a month, my diet consisted of morning coffee with ice cream, which is handy for lunch, and frozen vegetables for dinner. I learned that the diet had to be balanced much later.

So the first question I asked was: How balanced is the Japanese diet? "More or less, but there aren't enough amino acids, " a biochemist friend replied, "you'll be mean - horror with a gun". His fears about my hypothetical increased wickedness did not materialize. During the first two days, the body was suppressed by the sudden disappearance of normal food from its life. And realizing that it was for a long time, but not forever, he grew silent and indifferent.

Charm and disappointment

As it happens during every experience on myself, I have accumulated a list of charms and disappointments. Or rather, the inconvenience and pleasure of the diet.

Disadvantage # 1

The diet is strict. Because, according to its authors, it is designed to modify the metabolism. Therefore, the slightest deviation from the course (even a crouton, even an apple) - and the expected effect is not guaranteed. And this is what is expected: separation with 5-8 kilograms and weight stabilization in the future.

Disadvantage # 2

It is very difficult to come to a business lunch and flirtatiously ask me, please, two hard-boiled eggs and 200 grams of grated carrots. Usually, these requests remain unfulfilled. Therefore, you will need to take all the provisions with you in your purse. And, most likely, cook healthy meals the night before.

Pleasant number 1

13 days of Japanese diet will cost you about half as much as daily business lunches or lunches at work. And more - the purchase of food for the house.

Pleasant number 2

In general, it is best not to start a strict diet if at least half of the foods in it are unpalatable to you. And since I eat fish, boiled beef, carrots, kefir and cabbage with great enthusiasm in "normal life", then seeing them on my table was, frankly, joyful.

A lot of people wonder about drinking coffee every morning - isn't it bad? If you have heart problems or high blood pressure, coffee can have a bad effect. And before starting a Japanese diet, it is worth consulting your doctor.

A full range of sensations

During the first two days of the diet, a vision haunted me: As soon as I closed my eyes, a finely baked pancake appeared in front of my inner gaze, spontaneously rolling into a tube. Then someone kindly dipped it in strawberry jam and brought it to my face. There were no olfactory hallucinations. After chasing me for two days, the pancake fell behind.

A stony indifference and a calm attitude to culinary delights took hold, which has lasted to this day. That's not to say that I will strongly refuse if offered to try something tasty. But the nervous tremors from the fact that "there is so much food out there" are no longer noticeable.

I did not shed so much - only 4 kilograms, but the weight does not regain. I don't know who to thank for this: the developers of the Japanese diet or myself - for exercising twice a week. Only detail: during the diet, you weaken noticeably, and towards the end it becomes problematic to open an unopened bottle of mineral water. But then the strength is quickly restored.
